Street Dance & Commercial Dance classes are offered to children from 3 years up to and including our New Adult Street Fit Class

Street/Commercial Dance is an extremely popular form of dance which you might see on MTV, music videos, at concerts behind the biggest music stars, on Tv etc

Street dance is a high energy form of dance set to popular music which focuses on musicality, rhythms and performance while learning different exciting styles of choreography. Children learn different forms of street dance such as: locking, voguing, house, break dancing and the fundamentals of hip hop. All of our Street Dance pupils prepare choreography for stage shows, performances and concerts.

Talented Street dancers are invited to audition for our World Qualifying, Award Winning Champion Hip Hop Dance Crews.

Our NEW Adult Street Fit Class is an energetic, lively class learning basic Street Dance moves & combinations that focus on improving fitness levels, coordination and muscle tone whilst having lots of fun!

RDC Hip Hop Crews

The Helen Laxton Dance Company currently have 6 Hip Hop crews who perform & compete nationally. These crews focus on learning all of the different street dance styles as well as learning fast-paced choreography, transitions and formations which are then performed locally and also at street dance competitions around the country. As part of the crews, students are also able to compete in solos and duos categories at competitions.

Our new Junior Crew Reflex offers training for children from the age of 5 years who show potential or enthusiasm for this style of dance.

Our highly experienced, professional coaches train our pupils to the highest standards allowing them to excel at competitions around the country.
